Queen Letizia of Spain wore an outfit befitting a royal today as she and King Felipe, 51, attended a meeting with XVI Congress of Association of Academies of the Spanish Language (ASALA) in Seville, Spain. The ex-journalist and mother-of-two was photographed stepping out in a black cape-like blazer, a regal red, high-neck blouse, a printed mid-length skirt, and some killer red heels.
Finishing off the look, Queen Letizia decided to give her 5’5 frame a height boost by wearing some killer red-snake-print stilettos and held a simple black clutch in her hand as she met with eager royal fans outside the meeting with ASALA.
The stylish royal decided to keep her accessories simple and chose to add to the classy look by wearing a pair of silver, button-like, stud earrings.
She wore her hair down in a middle parting and it was styled into a soft and natural curl at her shoulders.
Keeping her makeup simple, the Spanish monarch stepped out with bronzed cheeks and wore light brown eyeshadow and a tinted red, matte, lipstick.
She wore scarlet heels and a black crocodile clutch bag.
When Queen Letizia steps out for events she often wears stunning designs and looks from her wardrobe.
On Monday, Queen Letizia stepped out in an attention-grabbing, red power-suit as she attended the 10th edition ‘Fundacion Princesa de Girona’ awards in Barcelona.
The gorgeous former-journalist took after the likes of Hilary Clinton in a suit.
A scarlet red garment, every item was colour coordinated.
The streamline single-breasted blazer drew attention to Letizia’s lithe frame, while flared trousers emphasised the length of her lean legs.
A top in a coordinating colour beneath the blouse added to body-lengthening illusion.
Felipe and Letizia Ortiz, as she was called then, wed in 2004.
She wore a long-sleeved wedding dress with a 15-foot train by Manuel Pertegaz.
As is custom with royal weddings, Letizia wore a tiara. Her diamond and platinum Prussian tiara is a German imperial heirloom created in 1913 by Koch for Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia’s wedding to Prince Ernst August.
Letizia is the eldest of three daughters, with her middle sister tragically taking her own life in 2007.
Now, Letizia has two daughters, Leonor, Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia of Spain. She is a hands-on mum, taking the children to school and enjoying countless family holidays with them.
Letizia has been married before, wedding Alfonso Guerrero, a teacher, in 1998.
However, she did not require an annulment before her roman-catholic marriage to then Prince Felipe in 2004 as her marriage to Guerrero was a civil ceremony.
In 2008, Letizia underwent surgery on her nose to correct a respiratory problem, the Spanish palace confirmed at the time.
