In the most excellent news of 2019 so far, Bill & Ted are officially back – with the first images from the new film set revealed.
Thirty years on from the original, the pictures show stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reunited for the third instalment, Bill & Ted Face The Music.
After years of anticipation, the Wyld Stallyns – Ted “Theodore” Logan and Bill S Preston, Esq – announced the news from a new Twitter account in March, saying the world was “about to get a lot more excellent”, and filming began in the US this week.
And if the new photos are anything to go by, it looks like time travel is most definitely back on the cards, with our two favourite dudes seen next to the famous Bill & Ted phone box.
According to IMDB, the two Californian would-be rockers are now middle-aged dads, but still trying to fulfil their musical destiny.
Amy Stoch and Hal Landon Jr will reprise their roles as Missy and Ted’s father Chet Logan, while Grammy-winning rapper Kid Cudi has also been confirmed to star.
Not many further details about the film have been revealed, although Reeves has promised it will be full of rock star cameos.
While the Matrix and John Wick star is not on social media (bogus for fans), Winter and writer Ed Solomon have bodaciously been posting tweets and pictures from the set.
Bill & Ted Face The Music is set for release in August 2020. Party on, dudes.
