Boots has issued guidance to help keep customers safe as more people return to the high street. It has updated safety measures and social distancing rules in its stores.
As more customers will flock to the shops, the health and beauty retailer has updated its shopping advice.
Social distancing rules
Boots has introduced a number of changes to help customers maintain social distancing.
This includes limiting how many people can enter stores at one time and signs to remind them to keep a two metre distance.
Stores will have social distancing champions to offer guidance and one way routes will be introduced in some branches.
Perspex screens will be rolled out to stores that will cover areas such as counters, tills and self-checkouts.
Perplex visors are already being used by staff and they will continue to get more protective equipment, according to the retailer.
Tracey Clements, chief operating officer of Boots UK and ROI, said: “We’ve learnt a great deal over the last eight weeks and the additional measures we are putting in place will allow us to adapt to a radically different retail world.
“Many of the developments are based on feedback from our colleagues who are looking forward to welcoming back more customers.
“Hygiene, social distancing and protection for customers and colleagues continues to be our focus.”
