Coronavirus volunteering: Can you still volunteer on lockdown?

According to CharityJob, charities are currently hard-pressed for volunteers, with more vulnerable people in need to help during the pandemic.

Some have turned to virtual aid, hosting events and meetings on apps such as WhatsApp and Zoom, meaning many people can volunteer at home.

Those who volunteer in person for organisations such as the NHS will become a key worker, meaning they can leave the house outside of the allotted occasions.

When doing so, they need to take precautions, both to protect themselves and the people they help.
