The former President made an appearance at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, where he mocked his successor. Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr posted a series of tweets making fun of the US President’s triple stumble down the steps of Air Force One.
According to social media clips of the former President at Mar-a-Lago, Mr Trump used Mr Biden’s gaffe to repeat unfounded claims he won the US election.
He drew laughter from a crowd, commenting: “I watch as Joe Biden went up the stairs today and I said ‘I didn’t lose to him,’ which we didn’t lose to him.
“Almost 75 million votes and probably a lot more than that”
Mar-a-Lago is temporarily partially closed out of “an abundance of caution,” due to a coronavirus outbreak among employees at the resort, US media reports citing an email sent to members Friday afternoon.
Mr Trump Jr also tweeted an edited video of his father repeatedly striking golf balls that hit Mr Biden on the back of the head, causing him to stumble.
He continued to tease Mr Biden in the caption, which said: “It wasn’t the wind folks.”
In another post, he said: “I remember the press bashing Trump for touching the rail once. Biden falls repeatedly but I’m sure he’s the picture of health.
“No wonder all our enemies are pouncing simultaneously and mocking him publicly.”
Mr Biden is the oldest president in history to take the oath of office when he was sworn-in in January at the age of 78.
Half of Americans were “not confident” that Mr Biden was “physically and mentally up to the job”, with a third concerned he hasn’t yet held a press conference, according to a Rasmussen poll in March.
The White House announced Mr Biden’s first press conference will be held on his 65th day in office on March 25.
