Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has dropped a big hint that either Ozan Kabak or Ben Davies could start in Saturday’s Premier League showdown against Leicester City. The Reds’ title defence suffered another huge blow after Fabinho was ruled out of the King Power Stadium clash due to a muscle injury.
Fabinho’s absence gives Klopp a major headache, with the 27-year-old having stood in as a makeshift centre-half for most of the season amid a crippling injury crisis.
With the Brazilian having joined Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip on the injured list, the Liverpool manager looks set to have to turn to either Kabak or Davies.
Neither centre-back played in last weekend’s 4-1 thrashing by Manchester City, with both having joined the Reds only six days prior to that, on the final day of the January transfer window.
But Klopp has hinted that one of them could partner Jordan Henderson at the heart of his defence on Saturday after they impressed in training.

Kabak joined Liverpool on loan from Bundesliga club Schalke on transfer deadline day, while Davies signed from Preston Nort end the same day.
The fourth-placed Reds will go above Leicester into third on goal difference if they win Saturday’s clash.
Leicester have injury problems of their iown, with full-back James Justin expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury during their FA Cup win over Brighton.
Timothy Castagne, Dennis Praet and Wesley Fofana all remain sidelined.
